We will hold an exhibition featuring works by the artist Kazuya Yamaguchi titled <春雪 SHUN-SETSU>. Yamaguchi employs a delicate technique that actually brings out the traces of fallen snow, allowing viewers to experience the unadulterated beauty that cannot be expressed through the fusion of nature and art or artificial representation.
April 20th to April 27th, 2024 from 10:00 to 18:00
MOGANA 1F Meditation Room、2F BAR
Artist Kazuya Yamaguchi portrays "eternity" through various techniques, including painting. This winter, he will exhibit his new work "Spring Snow" for the first time at Kyoto MOGANA, which he painted while surrounded by snow on his trips to various mountains.
The snowflakes that landed on the ground, dancing from the sky to the ground, will be brought back to the sky by the spring sunlight which he captures the fleeting radiance of the fleeting snowflakes that disappear in the season of beginnings, infusing his paintings with the life of countless melted and fallen snow crystals.
In addition to "Spring Snow," the exhibition will also feature "Ryuzan," arranging a single flower in a vase. On the first day of the exhibition, he will improvise a painting "Blackout/Whiteout," in which he will paint and play with the sound of his brush strokes.
